From the Frontline: Can the Great Commission be Fulfilled in our Generation?
How well do you know your world? Did you know that there are over 12,000 Ethno-linguistic people groups in the world? That, of the 195 countries in the world, there are 66 countries which restrict religious freedom and persecute Christians? Do you know that over 400 Million Christians live under governments which persecute believers? Over 20% of the world’s population are Muslims and 13% of the world’s population is Hindu.
“…The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. What is the significance of Pentecost? How does the message and power of Pentecost relate to the fulfilment of the Great Commission?
“‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of Hosts.”

From the Frontline: Ascension Day and Its Importance for Today
Alieske and I will be discussing why so many things are going wrong in society? A Christian leader asked us: “Why is there so much corruption, crime and violence in our society? Why is there so much immorality, even in the church? Why are we seeing so many moral failures and scandals amongst leaders in business, in every level of government and even in the church?” The answer to these and many other important questions are dealt with in todays From the Frontline programme.
“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”

From the Frontline: The Hand that Rocks the Cradle
Hunter and I discuss the importance of Motherhood. Mothers give life, love, comfort, counsel, guidance, teaching and encouragement. They turn a house into a home and nurture families. Families are the basic building block of society and Mothers have a most important responsibility in daily love and counsel, raising children in the love and fear of the Lord.
“Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father and keep My Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.”

From the Frontline: Discerning the Will of God in a World of Deception
In order to understand the Will of God, it is essential that we recognise the Voice of God. We cannot do His Will if we cannot discern His Voice from the clamor of peer pressure, the noise of the world and the cacophony of our emotions.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.”

From the Frontline: Wild Fires in Cape Town
This week, Hunter and I report back on the Reformation 500 Conscience Captive to the Word of God Conference and the wild fires that have raged on the slopes of the Table Mountain National Park. What is the situation? How much damage has been done by the wild fires? Will the historic monuments such as the oldest windmill in South Africa be rebuilt? What does the Bible say concerning our responsibility to care for God’s Creation? What is the Biblical teaching on Restitution, when it comes to fires started by human error, or malice? What are some of the Declarations that came out of the Reformation 500 Conference?
“…See how great a forest a little fire kindles!”

From the Frontline: Identifying the Threats That Confront Us
This week Hunter and I seek to understand the times by identifying many of the serious issues confronting us which require a bold and Biblical stand. In what ways are the foundations of Christian civilisation under attack? What does the Bible say concerning our responsibility to respond to these challenges? What is behind this pervasive antagonism to Christian teachings and standards? In what ways can these trials and tribulations be turned for the good?
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

From the Frontline: Learning from the Holocaust in Rwanda
This week Hunter and I discuss how the people of Rwanda soberly reflect on the holocaust which was unleased upon them 27 years ago, on 6 April 1994. There are still compelling questions which demand answers. How could such dreadful mass murder take place within sight and sound of United Nations peacekeepers without the international community doing anything to stop it? Could the holocaust in Rwanda have been prevented? What steps must we take to ensure that such atrocities do not occur again?
"…Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore, the wrath of the Lord is upon you."

From the Frontline: The Centrality of the Cross
This week, Hunter and I will discuss the Centrality of the Cross. When the Apostle Paul summarised the essential basics of the Good News, he put it this way:
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures."
1 Corinthians 15:3.
The centre of the Christian Gospel is the Cross and the salvation that God wrought on the Cross is the greatest act in all the history of mankind. It is no wonder that Paul could say:
"When I came to you, my brothers… I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially His death on the Cross."
1 Corinthians 2:1,2

From the Frontline: Back to the Bible Mission
This week, Daniel interviews Alieske and I concerning our recent mission to Mpumalanga and Back to the Bible Mission. BBM recently celebrated 30 years of training pastors from all over Africa in an intensive three-year body, mind and spirit curriculum that studies every Book of the Bible. Frontline Fellowship has been involved with this leadership training initiative from the beginning. I have been part of the faculty of guest lecturers for this college over the last 14 years, lecturing on Missions, Church History, Biblical Worldview and Muslim Evangelism.
