We will be discussing Thanksgiving. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17, we are commanded: “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” Plainly it is God's will for us to be joyful, prayerful and thankful. There is no duty more urgent than that of returning thanks to our Creator, Saviour, Lord and Eternal Judge. A thankful heart is the parent of all virtues. Lack of gratitude is a root sin.

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His Name; make known His deeds among the peoples! …Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
