From the Frontline: Identifying the Threats That Confront Us
This week Hunter and I seek to understand the times by identifying many of the serious issues confronting us which require a bold and Biblical stand. In what ways are the foundations of Christian civilisation under attack? What does the Bible say concerning our responsibility to respond to these challenges? What is behind this pervasive antagonism to Christian teachings and standards? In what ways can these trials and tribulations be turned for the good?
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

From the Frontline: Learning from the Holocaust in Rwanda
This week Hunter and I discuss how the people of Rwanda soberly reflect on the holocaust which was unleased upon them 27 years ago, on 6 April 1994. There are still compelling questions which demand answers. How could such dreadful mass murder take place within sight and sound of United Nations peacekeepers without the international community doing anything to stop it? Could the holocaust in Rwanda have been prevented? What steps must we take to ensure that such atrocities do not occur again?

From the Frontline: The Centrality of the Cross
This week, Hunter and I will discuss the Centrality of the Cross. When the Apostle Paul summarised the essential basics of the Good News, he put it this way:
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures."
1 Corinthians 15:3.
The centre of the Christian Gospel is the Cross and the salvation that God wrought on the Cross is the greatest act in all the history of mankind. It is no wonder that Paul could say:
"When I came to you, my brothers… I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially His death on the Cross."
1 Corinthians 2:1,2

From the Frontline: Back to the Bible Mission
This week, Daniel interviews Alieske and I concerning our recent mission to Mpumalanga and Back to the Bible Mission. BBM recently celebrated 30 years of training pastors from all over Africa in an intensive three-year body, mind and spirit curriculum that studies every Book of the Bible. Frontline Fellowship has been involved with this leadership training initiative from the beginning. I have been part of the faculty of guest lecturers for this college over the last 14 years, lecturing on Missions, Church History, Biblical Worldview and Muslim Evangelism.

From the Frontline: The Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture
Daniel, Ndumiso, and Hunter discuss the importance of having a theology deeply rooted in the inerrant Word of God. Numbers 23:19 proclaims, “God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind.” We must wrestle with the fact that every Word that God has spoken is true in its entirety and without error in any way. If we compromise on this foundation doctrine we will fall into many dangerous heresies and errors in our Churches today.

From the Frontline-Episode 159-A Heart that Longs for the Living God
Today’s podcast Daniel and Hunter will be opening up Habakkuk 3 and discussing the nature of prayer. What does it look like to seek the presence of God amidst the turmoil in our hearts? How do we look back and remember the goodness of God rather than become depressed at the failures of our lives? How do we look forward to trust in the LORD rather than become anxious at the uncertainties of tomorrow? How do we get from a place of fear over the world’s troubles to a place deepened faith in the LORD amidst our troubles?
“O Lord, I have heard the report of You, and Your work, O Lord, do I fear.”

From the Frontline: The Importance of the Great Commission
This week, Daniel and I discuss the importance of the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. The last command of our Lord Jesus Christ ought to be our first concern. At the end of each of the Gospels and at the beginning of Acts, our Lord Jesus Christ emphasised different aspects of the Great Commission. What does the Great Commission require of us? How can we be more effective in fulfilling the plan and purposes of our Redeemer?
“…Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name to all nations…”

From the Frontline: Freedom of Conscience
This week we will be discussing the importance of freedom of conscience. This year marks the 500th anniversary of the bold stand of Professor Martin Luther before the Emperor: “Unless I am convinced by Scripture, or by clear reasoning that I am in error – for popes and councils have often erred and contradicted themselves – I cannot recant, for I am subject to the Scriptures I have quoted; my conscience is captive to the Word of God. It is unsafe and dangerous to do anything against one’s conscience. Here I stand. I cannot do otherwise. So help me God. Amen.”
“This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”
Acts 24:16

From the Frontline: Habakkuk – Waiting on a Just God
This week we will turn our attention to the prophet Habakkuk. What was his message? What is its relevance to us today? Habakkuk’s unique book gives us a glimpse into the prayer life of one of God’s messengers within a world of violence and injustice, both from the surrounding nations and among God’s own people. Though God’s response was not what Habakkuk had anticipated, Habakkuk is brought to a place of worship, a patient trust, we would do well to cultivate.
“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
Habakkuk 3:18

From the Frontline: Nuba Mountains Medical Mission
By God’s grace the Medical Mission to the Nuba Mountains has been successful. What was the goal of the mission? What was accomplished? What did the team learn of conditions in the Nuba Mountain today? How did the Nuba Mountains come to be an island of Christianity in a sea of Islam? How has the political situation complicated travel to and ministry in the Nuba Mountains? What is the current political situation in Sudan? How can we best pray for and help Christians in the Nuba Mountains?
“From beyond the rivers of Cush My worshipers, My scattered people, will bring Me offerings.”
