From the Frontline: Remembering God's Smuggler, Brother Andrew

Who was Brother Andrew? What led to Brother Andrew launching out into Bible smuggling across the Iron Curtain into Eastern Europe? The world has changed dramatically since those early smuggling operations behind the Iron Curtain. What did Andrew do after the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union? Are there still Restricted Access Countries where Christians are persecuted and where Bibles are forbidden? Is there still a need for Bible smuggling today?

From the Frontline: Life, Logic and Love

The sanctity of life is an essential article of the Christian Faith. Life begins at conception. If the absence of a brain wave is considered a sign of death, why then is the presence of this brain wave not accepted as a sign of life? Every abortion stops a beating heart. What kind of convoluted logic and mental gymnastics can interpret the "Right of Life" clause in the Constitution to protect guilty murderers from execution, but not prevent innocent babies from receiving the death penalty through abortion? The heart of Christianity is love. Love for God and love for our neighbour (Mark 12:30-31). The golden rule by which all believers must live is:

"In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you . . ."

The death and funeral of her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, has dominated the news in the last two weeks. Approximately 2 million people lined the procession route in London and over 4 billion people watched the funeral proceedings live online. What can we learn from these events? What does it say about the role of the monarchy? What does it reveal about tradition and religion? How should we evaluate the funeral service in Westminster Abbey? How should we understand death and how can we cope with grief? How can we help those who are going through bereavement?

Are evangelists ambassadors or warriors? What is Servant Evangelism? What role can medicine or education play in Evangelism? What is Ambush Evangelism? How should we respond to those who demand that we apologise for the Gospel? How do we respond to those who claim that Evangelism is Christian supremacy and religious colonialism?

Shockingly, Slavery is an ongoing reality today. At least 42 million people in the world are slaves at this time. Most in the Middle East and Asia. How is it possible that slavery has made such a comeback? Where are most of the slaves today? What form does this slavery take? What can be done to expose and oppose slavery today? Who is involved in combating slavery? How can we be involved? What can we practically do to resist the slave trade?
