With a longing to see Muslims come to Christ, there has been much discussion over how to minister in these contexts. How do we effectively contextualize the gospel within Islamic communities? Must Muslims give up their Muslim identity to follow Christ? Or can they retain it as a "Muslim follower of Jesus”? Put another way, is Islam redeemable? Is it at its core simply a culture with practices and customs that can be done in obedience to Christ, or is it most centrally a religion with distinct doctrine from the truths of the Bible?
